“You cannot work for food when there is no food for work” (an African proverb). My name is Igbagbolere David, a native of southwest Nigeria. I consider honey bee’ pollination services a crucial component of food sustainability. This piques my interest in honey bee health and the advancement of the beekeeping sector. I earned my bachelor’s degree in crop production and protection from Obafemi Awolowo University, Nigeria, and I am now working on a master’s degree in entomology while conducting research on the management of Varroa mites under the guidance of Dr. Brandon Hopkins at Washington State University.
