Lauren is a first-year master’s student in the lab of Dr. Rufus Isaacs at Michigan State University. Her graduate work is focused on investigating methods of assessing honey bee colony strength, and she has broad interests in bee health and colony performance. She hopes her graduate work can be used to inform management strategies for beekeepers to improve pollination services. Additionally, Lauren works for MSU Extension on various apiculture projects. She holds a bachelor’s degree in biology and minors in entomology and agricultural communication from the University of Florida. Previously, she worked as an extension technician for the UF Honey Bee Research and Extension Laboratory.
